Mentorship in business
Business Mentorship Programme

What actually changes when you have the right mentor

A structured programme for founders, managers, and emerging leaders who want practical guidance — not generic advice — from mentors who have faced the same decisions.

Mentorship session in progress — two professionals working through a business challenge together

Three pillars that hold the programme together

Each pillar addresses a different kind of gap — knowledge, application, and the harder-to-name problem of knowing what to do but not doing it.

Structured learning path

Sessions follow a deliberate sequence — each one builds on the last rather than covering isolated topics. Participants work through real scenarios drawn from their own business context, not invented case studies.

Applied exercises between sessions

Between meetings, participants complete short assignments tied to their current situation. These are reviewed at the next session — creating accountability without turning the programme into a performance review.

Peer group collaboration

A small cohort of participants from different industries meets regularly to share observations and challenge each other's thinking. Different sectors often expose the same problem from a useful angle.

Mentorship that is specific to where you are, not where you should be

Most generic business programmes assume participants share a starting point. This one does not. The programme has been running since 2014, and the most consistent finding is that people learn differently depending on what is already at stake for them.

Mentors on the programme are practitioners — people who have led teams, made decisions under uncertainty, and made some of those decisions badly. They bring that experience into sessions without turning it into a lecture.

Workshop participants discussing a business mentorship exercise in a collaborative setting
8 weeks — the core programme length, structured as fortnightly sessions with independent work in between
12 maximum cohort size — kept deliberately small so each participant gets real attention, not just a seat in a room
1:1 dedicated mentor pairing — each participant is matched to a single mentor for the full programme duration

Getting started takes one conversation, not a lengthy application

Places on each cohort are limited. The process is straightforward — designed to help both sides decide whether the fit is right before committing to anything.

The programme runs online, so participants from across Ireland and beyond can join without relocating. Sessions are scheduled to accommodate working hours.
